Public History Research developed the concept for the library of this four-star superior hotel in the Engadin together with its owner, and advised on the selection of around a thousand books.

What the press says about the library at Hotel Maistra 160

Hotel Maistra 160 opened in 2023, “stylish and modern, designed by the renowned Grisons architect Gion A. Caminada”.
“The hotel offers something no one else around has: a lovingly curated library […] Here guests can get to know the Engadin, its side valleys and the neighbouring regions in all their facets.”

Bettina Plattner-Gerber, owner of Hotel Maistra 160, on working with us

Bettina Plattner-Gerber: “Our books are a curated selection. We research carefully within the categories we have defined, and we look for good new titles as well as older, even antiquarian gems. The selection is restocked regularly, so guests are surprised again and again and always discover something new. I curate it together with Monica Rottmeyer of Public History Research. She specialises in creating historical content for clients in business, industry, tourism and culture.” Our translation.
