this story too. Our research took us to the Kunstmuseum Basel, to Museum.BL in Liestal and to the Historisches Museum Basel. The standout find came from a private collection, a series of large-format, staged black-and-white photographs. A farmer had taken them in the early twentieth century, with his own family posed at harvest.
