We hunted for historical images in archives, museums and collections, in private hands, and with the producers of Alpine delicacies themselves. These images are historical sources in their own right, and some had never been published. From the jury\u2019s citation, in our translation: \u201cThe winning books whet the appetite and stand out for their care and fine design as much as for their content.\u201d
