Turning paper into money<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The paper mill in Landquart was once the largest industrial employer in the canton of Graub\u00fcnden. Today, as Landqart AG, it is a leading international manufacturer of banknote substrates. A classic transformation, from industrial firm to Swiss-based high-technology specialist. The story is documented in industrial photographs from the 1920s, in archival records and technical documents, and in interviews with contemporary witnesses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a maker of banknote paper, the company operates under strict security standards. We worked on site under those rules and in close contact with the company. We were responsible for the entire production, from research to layout, graphics and picture sections through to the new photography. The result is the first book to tell the mill\u2019s full story, published in German and English, and a textbook case of history marketing. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The book was presented to the company\u2019s international clients and guests at the anniversary celebrations. We also developed the concept for the accompanying exhibition in a historic factory hall.

We oversaw the transfer of a large part of the historical archive material to the State Archives of Graub\u00fcnden.

Landqart AG has put the complete publication on its website, to be read page by page, from research to finished book. It is hard to imagine a greater compliment to our work. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
